While travelling with the British Royal Marines Commandos Steven met his Canadian wife Annette and, as a result, moved to Canada in the fall of 1992. He immediately began to study for his Alberta Real Estate license. In the following year Steven became a member of the Century 21 Byron’s Million Dollar Club. This was despite entering into the business when oil was just ten dollars a barrel causing the worst market in years! Steven maintains learning the fundamentals of real estate at such a poor time gave him a foundation that helps him to sell property in any market conditions.
Though real estate is his passion, it’s a time consuming job when you are very successful and it can take a toll on young families. Steven took a break from being full time in the industry for several years to focus on a 9-5 career which allowed him to spend more time at home and even coach all three of his children’s sports teams. The chosen career path was in high tech where Steven quickly rose to the executive suite becoming Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He helped an Alberta organisation become one of Canada’s fastest success stories, growing from 11 to 80 million in sales.
In 2007 Steven came to Kelowna as VP of Sales and Marketing for a local internet based company which also saw massive growth during his time on the executive. After a short time in Kelowna he decided the children were now old enough for him to move back into the real estate market full time. Steven felt his extensive real estate experience combined with the high tech marketing knowledge he had gained during his sabbatical would give his clients a distinct advantage in a market where over 90% of the buyers now use the web to decide which homes to short list and view.
The results proved his theory correct. It quickly became apparent that the mix of Steven’s extensive real estate experience and internet marketing savvy was exactly what clients in this area needed to beat out what was fast becoming a very tough selling environment. As a result of their success in 2010 Steven and his wife Annette decided to invest heavily to grow the business in 2011. The goal was to build a client support and marketing team to offer a new and innovative approach to real estate. The mission was to work harder AND smarter to provide the very best service results possible.
The investment paid off, our team saw massive sales growth in 2011 and again in 2012, winning multiple awards for sales and service.

Allen grew up on the farm in Alberta and was an entrepreneur at a young age, buying his first farm at just 18 years old!
